Let Joy Be Easy
“Not every good thing needs your hesitation.”
Some of us have learned to approach joy cautiously.
To brace for disappointment.
To soften excitement before it fully arrives.
To feel guilty for resting too long in something good.
But not every moment is meant to be analyzed.
Some are meant to be received.
Scripture reminds us that every good and perfect gift comes from above. Joy was never meant to feel foreign or undeserved. It is one of the ways God reminds us that life is still being sustained.
You do not have to justify moments of peace.
You do not have to earn delight before allowing yourself to feel it.
Sometimes joy looks small.
A slow morning. Warm water. A familiar scent. Light through a window. A quiet laugh that arrives unexpectedly.
These moments matter.
Not because they solve everything, but because they remind us that goodness still exists alongside everything else.
As you move through this season, let yourself stop resisting what feels gentle.
Let joy be easy.
Let it arrive without apology.
